LOT launched this summer’s its most expected flight. Passengers can now fly to sunny Florida form many cities in Europe via Warsaw. The flights will be operated four times a week with modern Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 Dreamliners. Miami is LOT’s ninth destination in the US.

Flights to and from Miami will be operated every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The departing flights from the Warsaw Chopin Airport are scheduled for 12:05 a.m and the arrival in Miami is planned for 5:30 p.m. (local time). Passengers will depart from Florida on an evening flight at 8:05 p.m. and will land in Warsaw the next day at 12:15 a.m.

The flight from Warsaw to Miami will last 11 hours and 25 minutes. The connection to Miami will be operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliners only.

“LOT creates a perfect gateway to all willing to fly to Florida from Central and Eastern Europe - the fastest growing region of the continent. Currently over half a million passengers travelling between two regions despite of lack of direct flights. Now they can transfer via Warsaw – the most convinient European airport, where for most of our flights we offer connecting time as short as one or two hours from cities such as Budapest, Prague, Bucharest, Kiev, Kosice, Tallinn, Vienna, Moscow, Vilnius and also Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Stockholm,” says Rafał Milczarski, LOT Polish Airlines CEO.

Miami is already LOT’s ninth destination in the US. Launching its new connection to Florida, LOT contributes to the growth of tourist and business traffic between Poland and USA.

“At present there are nearly 500 thousand people of Polish origin living in Florida. We are very glad that we can meet the expectations and needs of the Polish Diaspora in America who now, for the first time, can take advantage of direct flights on the route between Poland and USA,” adds Rafał Milczarski.

The new connection will allow to take advantage of LOT Cargo’s potential. Miami is one of crucial airports for the market of pharmaceutical products which, thanks to new IATA CEIV Pharma certificates, will be soon transported to Florida from Europe by LOT’s Dreamliners. LOT Cargo will also deliver perishables from South America to Poland and Europe, including seafood, vegetables, exotic fruit and cut flowers from Venezuela, Ecuador and Columbia as well as aircraft and car parts from Chile, Peru and Argentina. LOT Dreamliners have a cargo capacity ranging from 12 and 13,5 tons on average, depending on the machine type.

The flights from Miami will be operated exclusively by Boeing 787 Dreamliners, the most technically advanced aircraft in the world. Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art technology, they offer increased cabin pressure and humidity levels, and are much more spacious. All those factors help enhance passengers’ comfort during such a long flight and reduce the so-called jet lag effect. There are three travel classes available aboard the Dreamliners: LOT Business, LOT Premium Economy and LOT Economy.

Miami will be the 14th long-haul connection in LOT’s network and the airline’s 9th destination in North America. LOT’s current offer includes flights from Warsaw: to New York City JFK and Newark, Chicago, Los Angeles, Toronto, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing and Singapore, New Delhi and also to Colombo. LOT’s regular offer includes over 111 destinations, which means that since the beginning of 2016 their number has increased by over 70.
