2019 ITU Youth Forum with the foreign ICT youngs finished successfully

◈ 9.3 (Wed) ~ 6 (Fri), the 65 youngs from 38 countries related ICT participated with ITU.
◈ Pushed forward with idea workshop and conference for 4 days about the theme of 「Impact and durability of Smart city industry」.

「2019 ITU Youth Forum」 hosted by Busan Metropolitan city and ITU, managed by Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency finished successfully from September 3rd to 6th.at BEXCO.

For this ITU Youth Forum, the 65 youngs majoring or related with ICT from 38 countries discussed and presented about the theme of 「Impact and durability of Smart city industry」.

The Popularity Award was given to Farras Muhammad, who attracted participants with “Damago“, which was food application helping grocery sold for discounted price.

The Passion Award was given to Gabriela Ribero Lopes, who presented ‘Barter Currency’, which was the application creating jobs by promoting currency service and changing.

Also, the Biggest Impact award, which was regarded as impacting lots of people was given to Sara Berkai with Online workshop application for African refugees and Lee Yi Seo with job program creating employment opportunity.

At last, the Best Entrepreneur Award was given to Khadija Hamouchi creating ‘Sessjal’, which was Arabian contents platform using AI and distributing media information with personal feed.

Mohamed Ba who was charged in ITU innovation program is who has been with ITU Youth Forum since 2014 and he told that there were lots of idea with better quality than any other forum since it was highly competitive.

The 3rd day had keynote address by Pavel Laletin who is COO from Thai Venture Capital, speech about development for Smart city with forum by rainwater research center of Seoul National University and speaker from Wego, and idea pitching.

Moreover, there were programs for experiencing ICT industry for foreign participants. Busan showed its capability of ICT and Smart city by visiting Busan National Science Museum and Smart city Experiencing center, making programs which would help participants to contribute to new industry for their countries.

Lee In-Suk, who is director of Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency told that she would prepare better programs for reducing gap between world ICT technologies, introducing local industry for Busan, and making participants private diplomats of Busan by opening 「ITU Youth Forum」.
