Porsche Korea (CEO Holger Gerrmann) launches the Taycan Cross Turismo and the new 911 GT3 in Korea as of today.

Under the theme of 'Sporty Mobility of Today and Tomorrow', the exhibition emphasized Porsche's sustainable product strategy. The brand’s first CUV and already second pure electric vehicle after the Taycan, the ‘Taycan Cross Turismo’, and the first GT model based on the 8th gen-eration 911, the ‘911 GT3,’ were unveiled for the first time in Korea.

CEO of Porsche Korea Holger Gerrmann stated that, "Porsche launches innovative and exclusive products by combining advanced future technologies and the brand heritage. Our mission is to pursue sustainable mobility and create the future for sports cars,” adding that, "The Taycan Cross Turismo and the new 911 GT3 are unique products that reflect Porsche's product strategy focusing on efficient gasoline engines, hybrid, and electric models."

He also added, “starting with the new ‘911 GT3’, we will sequentially introduce GT lines reflecting Porsche’s racing DNA, including the Cayenne Turbo GT, 718 Cayman GT4, and more high performance models, unfolding the exciting Porsche Story.” “In order to repay the increased interest in Porsche’s electrified products, only one year after the Taycan Korea launch we have expanded our portfolio through the ‘Taycan Cross Turismo’, a versatile and attractive vehicle perfect for a sporty lifestyle on and off the road designed for the Porsche fans and enthusiasts of style and sports such as cycling and surfing”, he stated.

Porsche Korea is further expanding the product portfolio of its all-electric sports car with the addition of this versatile CUV, the Taycan Cross Turismo.

Like its first all-electric sports car Taycan, the Taycan Cross Turismo benefits from an innovative electric drive with 800-volt architecture. The new high-tech chassis with all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension also ensures uncompromising dynamics on and off-road. Up to 47 millimetres more headroom for rear-seat passengers and more than 1,200 litres of load capacity, loaded through the large tailgate at the rear, make the Cross Turismo a true all-rounder.

The Performance Battery Plus, which has a total capacity of 93.4 kWh, is always fitted as standard in the Taycan Cross Turismo. The Taycan 4 Cross Turismo with 380 PS can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds through its overboost power with launch control of 350 kW (476 PS), reaches a top speed of 220 km/h. The Taycan 4S Cross Turismo with 490 PS can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds with its overboost power of 420 kW (571 PS), reaches a top speed of 240 km/h. Lastly, the Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo with 625 PS can accelerate 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds through its overboost power of 500 kW (680 PS), reaches a top speed of 250 km/h.

Driving ranges of the Taycan Cross Turismo 4, 4S, and Turbo are 287 km, 287 km, and 274 km, respectively.

The high-tech chassis with all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension comes as standard on the Taycan Cross Turismo. The optional Off-Road design package increases ground clearance by up to 30 mm. This means that the Cross Turismo can also be driven on more demanding off-road terrain. The standard “Gravel Mode” improves the suitability of the new model for driving on rough roads.

In terms of its visual appearance, it closely follows the ‘Mission E Cross Turismo’ concept study presented at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show: Its silhouette is defined by the sporty roofline sloping downward to the rear – called a “flyline” by the Porsche designers. Off-road design elements include wheel arch trims, unique front and rear lower aprons and side sills.

Especially for the Taycan Cross Turismo, Porsche has developed a rear carrier for up to three bicycles that sets the benchmark in terms of package size and handling. It can be used universally for different types of bikes. One of its innovative features is that the tailgate can be opened even when the rear carrier is loaded.

The Taycan 4 Cross Turismo will start being delivered this December, followed by plans to launch the 4S and Turbo models in the first half of next year. Porsche is offering Taycan 4, 4S, Turbo Cross Turismo with a price of 138 million KRW, 154.5 million KRW, and 200.6 million KRW, including VAT.

The new 911 GT3 reflects the essence of sportiness by combining motorsport genes and innovations into the perfect high-performance sports car for both the racetrack and everyday life.

The new 911 GT3 developed in close collaboration with Porsche Motorsport transfers pure racing technology into a production model. The double wishbone front axle layout and sophisticated aerodynamics with swan neck rear wing and striking diffuser originate from the successful GT race car 911 RSR.

The maximum 510 horsepower (PS) four-litre six-cylinder boxer engine is based on the drivetrain of the 911 GT3 R, tried and tested in endurance racing. With the 7-speed Porsche PDK transmission, it accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 318 km/h. The new wing and diffuser elements significantly increase down force and the aerodynamic pressure for high cornering speeds. The sophisticated aerodynamics benefit from the experiences gained from motor racing and generate significantly more downforce without noticeably affecting the drag coefficient.

Its racing genes are expressed in practically all the details of the new 911 GT3. The cockpit is in line with the current generation 911. A new feature is the track screen: at the touch of a button, it reduces the digital displays to the left and right of the central rev counter, which reaches up to 10,000 rpm, to information such as tire pressure indicator, oil pressure, oil temperature, fuel tank level and water temperature, which are essential when driving on the circuit.

The Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur range is also available for the new 911 GT3 and is supplemented by GT3-specific options such as a lightweight roof made of exposed carbon fibre. Other highlights include exterior mirror tops made of carbon, darkened LED matrix main headlights and matching Exclusive design rear lights with an arc of light with no red components. In the interior, equipment details such as the tachometer, Sport Chrono stopwatch, seatbelts and trim strips set elegant accents in the body colour or other desired colour.

As exclusive as the 911 GT3 itself is the individual chronograph that Porsche Design offers exclusively to customers of the high-performance sports car extending the ownership experience beyond the car. Like the 911 GT3, it boasts a dynamic design, consistent performance, and high-quality workmanship. Its housing reflects its Motorsport genes. Just like the connecting rods of the GT3 engine, it consists of robust, lightweight titanium. The timepiece is powered by an individual winding rotor reminiscent of the wheels of the 911 GT3. In addition, the coloured ring of the dial can be customised in the paint colours of the 911 GT3.

The sales price of the 911 GT3 is 220 million KRW, including VAT.
