SAS has joined the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), the leading organization transforming business and society by accelerating the adoption of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
"SAS brings years of experience in industrial data analytics," said Dr. Richard Mark Soley, Executive Director of the IIC. "IoT data has an expiration date – if you don't act on it quickly, it loses value. If data can be analyzed as fast as it streams, an enterprise can react to insights revealed by the analysis in a meaningful timeframe."
SAS helps industrial organizations apply advanced analytics where the data is – on the edge, in the fog and within the data center/cloud. Edge-to-enterprise analytics helps reduce costs and increase revenue by providing precise, real-time insight. SAS plans to work with fellow IIC members by offering its analytics expertise to help organizations realize the value of IIoT.
