Porsche Korea (CEO Holger Gerrmann) announced that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation (Chairman Choi Young-chang) for its social contribution campaign 'Porsche Do Dream' and donated 374 million KRW for the conservation and passing on of intangible cultural assets in Korea.

With the agreement, Porsche Korea expands the scope of support of the ‘Porsche Do Dream’ campaign to Korean traditional culture and creates a sustainable environment for the preservation and transmission of cultural heritage.

The first project of ‘Porsche Future Heritage’ newly launched this year is the ‘Dream Finds You’. It is a culture education program starting with 12 trainees and instructors for successor training through which they will be provided the opportunity to learn skills in fields such as the Korean royal cuisine, traditional crafts, and dance giving them the opportunity to overcome career breaks and financial difficulties and at the end of the three-year program explore an interesting career path. The trainees and instructors will be certified, and the program will enable them to host educational programs for younger generations and people who are interested in Korean culture.

Porsche Korea CEO Holger Gerrmann stated, “I am delighted to launch a special program to safeguard the Korean intangible cultural heritage with young cultural ambassadors fulfilling their 'dreams'. As a brand that is built on tradition and innovation, we know the importance of heritage and want to create opportunities for the next generation with the 'Dream Finds You'.”

Choi Young-chang, the chairman of Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation, said, “Collaborating with Porsche Korea will add another dimension to the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation's dream to pass on our cultural heritage and we would like to express our gratitude to Porsche Korea for helping more people to make their ‘dreams’ come true.”

Application for the ‘Dream Finds You’ can be registered through the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation website and Naver Reservation for starting from May 24th on a first come first serve basis, and in the next phase about 1,000 youth participants will be gathered for various cultural experiences such as online and offline lectures, DIY kits, and mini concerts that induce interest in the Korean cultural heritage.

Porsche Korea launched ‘Porsche Do Dream’ in 2017 and has been continuously carrying out CSR activities that reflect the values of ‘dream’ and ‘passion’ pursued by the brand. Last year alone, Porsche Korea donated 1.618 billion KRW, and so far, the company has supported donations of about 4.3 billion KRW.

Porsche Korea and Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation are planning to introduce a new project of ‘Porsche Future Heritage’ in the second half of the year.
