The Bush School of Government and public Service's Mosbacher Institute is pleased to present an Economic Diplomacy Lecture Series as part of the Bush School's 25th Anniversary Celebration. This engaging series will feature some of the most noted names in economic diplomacy and explore the tools needed to negotiate in today's global economic environment.

China's very aggressive and expansive strategy to gain influence throughout the developing world by financing critical infrastructure projects, is proof that global power is not just determined by diplomatic or military might, but also by the capacity to enable and support economic development and growth. That has never been more apparent than it is today.

This lecture series highlights the tools of U.S. economic diplomacy that are an essential part of advancing a free-market rule-of-law model for economic growth and for countering China's authoritarian capitalist approach. This three-part series is designed for those interested in understanding the various economic tools that are a critical part of U.S. foreign policy, including foreign assistance, trade, and development finance.
