Counting down 15 days until TOKYO GAME SHOW 2022 (TGS2022), to be held in a hybrid style (in person at Makuhari Messe and online) from September 15 (Thu.) to 18 (Sun.) The latest updates on exhibitors and their products are announced today, as well as the official streaming program timetable.

TGS2022 will be held in a hybrid style of online and in-person, with the real venue returning for the first time in three years. In addition to various in-person exhibition projects to feel the on-site excitement, we offer a wide range of unique and fun virtual programs that people can enjoy anywhere in the world, including TGS2022 Official Streaming Programs, TOKYO GAME SHOW VR, free trial play, and the Steam special venue. Details of the organizer's programs will be announced at a later date. Please look forward to TGS2022 progressing even further.

- As of Aug. 31, 605 Exhibitors and 1883 Booths to Join TGS2022

As of Aug. 31, 605 exhibitors, including 312 from Japan (25 participating online) and 293 from overseas (24 participating online), are registered to join TGS2022. Moreover, the real venue will host 1883 exhibition booths at Makuhari Messe. Both the numbers of exhibitors and booths are far more than initially expected, reflecting high expectations for the in-person exhibition after a three-year wait among the participants.

Interim updates on exhibition booths and planned exhibits are also announced, with a total of 1409 game titles registered for exhibition as of Aug. 31. TGS2022 will showcase a wide range of game genres, including much-awaited new titles, e-sports titles, and cutting-edge metaverse (virtual space) games, targeting various platforms such as home game consoles, smartphones, and PCs.

The final updates on game titles, exhibition booths, and events scheduled at TGS2022 will be announced on September 15 (Thu.), Day 1 of TGS2022.

- TGS2022 Official Streaming Program Timetable Unveiled

The timetable of TGS2022 official programs streamed during the event is unveiled today. During the four-day event, 38 programs will be streamed online, of which 29 are “Official Exhibitor Programs” sponsored by 26 exhibitors. For more details, please see below.

- General Admission Tickets for Overseas Visitors and Foreign Residents in Japan Now on Sale (Admission is open only for adults: junior high schooler or older)

*Tickets are sold only online and in advance. The tickets are offered in limited numbers and sold on a first-come-first-served basis. No ticket sales at the door.

General admission tickets for overseas visitors and foreign residents in Japan are currently on sale on the TGS2022 official English website. From the perspective of preventing the spread of COVID-19 infection, a limited number of tickets by date will be sold according to the upper limit of visitors in the venue (All tickets are sold only online and in advance.) From the same perspective of infection prevention, elementary schoolers or more minor children, including babies and toddlers, are NOT allowed to enter the venue even with their parent’s attendance.
