DALIAN, China, April 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Jebsen Group (Jebsen), a leader in marketing and distribution of premium products across Greater China, together with Austrian partner TCG Unitech, announced the expansion of its facilities in Dalian with the opening of a new plant in the port city on April 16.

This new plant symbolizes the long-term commitment of Jebsen-TCG to Dalian as our automotive hub.

Founded in Nov. 2010, Jebsen-TCG Automotive Systems (Dalian) Co., Ltd is the leading company in the development and manufacturing of oil pumps and water pump systems in China. It is a joint venture company between the Mobility Solutions division of Jebsen Industrial and TCG Unitech, a specialist in the development and optimisation of complex, innovative die-cast products and pump systems. With an investment of RMB 30 million, the 5,000 square metre new plant is equipped with advanced, fully-automated assembly lines. The company's new plant increases its number of production line capacity from two to ten, expanding the manufacturing capacity of oil and water pumps to 4 million units a year from 1.5 million.

New state-of-the-art quality-testing equipment, including pump test benches and a cleanliness lab, enables the new plant to also produce new electrical water pumps. These electric water pumps are critical for electric and fuel-cell powered engines. They serve the fuel-efficiency efforts and electrification ambition of the Chinese automotive industry.

China is the world's largest auto market. It saw new vehicle sales rise 3% last year to 28.88 million units¹. The Chinese government encourages fuel-efficient autos and electric vehicles to reduce pollution. With this expansion, Jebsen TCG is well placed to capture new opportunities driven by these developments in China's expanding auto sector.

The expansion and new technologies also reflect Jebsen-TCG's strategic aim to not only thrive as an OEM manufacturer but also seek growth in the aftermarket business.
