They have been named after joining 2-months city qualifier processes in up to 12 cities in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Tangerang, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Bali, and Medan. Achieving highest score of 3715, 3315, and 3295, these three winners got a chance to win the grand prize of over IDR 700 million and competing at the PUBG Mobile Global Final Tournament in Dubai, in the end of this November 2018.

"They will beat finalists from more than 7 countries, including China, US, Thailand, South Korea, and Japan at the Global Final Tournament. Unlike Indonesia, the other countries' grand finalists were chosen through PUBG Mobile online qualifiers. To hold an offline national tournament for PUBG Mobile, Indonesia was the first country all over the world," said Gagali, Country Manager of PUBG Indonesia.

The tournament structure of the PINC Grand Final consisted of a full team of 4 players. With total grand finalists of 16 teams from across cities in Indonesia, they were teaming up in various Third-Person Perspective (TPP) and First-Person Perspective (FPP) in an engaging Sanhok map show match.

Hundreds of game lovers attended the grand final tournament, making it one of the most-anticipated mobile game tournament to boost e-sports into the wider audience. Special performance and duo show match session with up to 18 mobile gaming YouTubers and influencers, including Reza Arap and Afif Yulistian have successfully whipped up the crowd to make the tournaments more engaging to their peers.

"We were thrilled with such huge enthusiasm. They were not just chasing for prizes, but also experiencing quality moment and connection with their community, and most importantly, their idols or influencers. As the first-ever country to hold this kind of semi-pro community tournament, we believe this will significantly build the e-sports community for PUBG in Indonesia," added Gagali.

E-sports industry has grown at a tremendous pace, as the global e-sports economy now reaches US$ 906 million, according to a research by Newzoo. Such enormous growth is further reflected in PUBG. According to a data by PUBG Mobile, since its launch in 2017, PUBG now achieves 20 million daily active users, exclude Japan, Korea, and China. In Indonesia, there are 5 million monthly active users, or half the country's total downloaders of 10 million.

Gagali added, "With such huge numbers of opportunities and active-players, it is important to keep engaging through interactive group and community. We believe this will build a loyalty, not solely as a player but also spokesperson to wider audience." Apart of annual national championship, PUBG Indonesia regularly organize PUBG Community Club, allowing mobile game lovers from across cities in Indonesia to discuss, interact, and hang out with each other.

PUBG Mobile is available to download for free on the App Store and Google Play.
