Lamborghini Day Seoul took place this Friday at Yeong Bin Gwan in Seoul attended by Federico Foschini, Chief Commercial Officer of Automobili Lamborghini as well as media, customers and VIPs. The event unveils the Urus and debut of Aventador SVJ for the first time in Korea.

The Lamborghini Day will be an annual event held by Automobili Lamborghini to share Lamborghini’s amplified visions and values with the media and customers as well in Korea.

Lamborghini Urus and Aventador SVJ are expected to enter the Korean market within the first half of 2019.

The Lamborghini Urus, the world’s first Super Sports Utility Vehicle (Super SUV), is powerful and luxurious, offering dynamism of a super sports car that can be enjoyed by both the driver and passengers. The Urus provides easy driving in the city, maximum comfort during long journeys, thrilling super sports car dynamics on the road and track, and versatile off-road abilities in a range of environments.

The new Aventador SVJ, where SV historically stands for ‘superveloce’ — meaning ‘superfast’ —takes the ‘jota’ suffix, denoting its track and performance superiority. The Aventador SVJ has already claimed its position as the Nürburgring-Nordschleife production car record holder, completing the 20.6 km lap in just 6:44.97 minutes. Its production is limited to 900 units.

“We define ourselves as informal luxury, future shapers and designers of experiences. We want to inspire the lifestyle of our customers with best-in-class products and memorable events, where they can experience the intimate and exclusive Lamborghini world,” said Federico Foschini, Chief Commercial Officer at Automobili Lamborghini.

“We recognize the growth of the super car segment in Korea. We wish to increase our presence in Korea by offering best-in-class services and products, enhancing customer experience and expanding infrastructure,” said Matteo Ortenzi, Chief Executive Officer at Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific.

- The Lamborghini Urus: The world’s first Super SUV with Lamborghini DNA packed in every element

The Lamborghini Urus creates a new niche in the luxury segment with benchmarking power, performance and driving dynamics, unparalleled design, luxury and daily usability. The Urus can either be specified to be as sporty or as elegant, as the owner wishes, or be used as a daily luxury drive.

The Urus sports a new front-mounted, 4.0-liter petrol V8 twin-turbo aluminum engine. The choice of a turbo engine, the first in a Lamborghini, delivers 650 hp (478 kW) at 6,000 rpm, fitting the Urus perfectly within the Lamborghini family as a high-performance car. It performs maximum 6,800 rpm, and 850 Nm of maximum torque already at 2,250 rpm. With 162.7 hp/l, the Urus claims one of the highest specific power outputs in its class and the best weight-to-power ratio at 3,38 kg/hp.

The Super SUV accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and is the fastest SUV available in the world with a top speed of 305 km/h. Braking is no less impressive — the Urus decelerates from 100 km/h to 0 in 33.7 m.

The Urus comes with an automatic eight-speed gearbox and its four-wheel drive system delivers safe, highly-responsive driving dynamics on every road and surface, in all weather. The Urus provides easy driving in the city, maximum comfort during long journeys, thrilling super sports car dynamics on the road and track, and versatile off-road abilities in a range of environments.

The Urus is the new benchmark for a Super SUV and a true Lamborghini: it delivers best-in-class lightweight technologies and weight-to-power ratio, with innovation in design and engineering to ensure the best possible driving dynamics as well as overall efficiency.

It is undoubtedly a Lamborghini, with all the design features of the Lamborghini super sports car heritage. The Urus comes in outstanding proportions, adopting the two-thirds body, one-third window ratio of Lamborghini super sports cars, and provides excellent balance.

The Urus is a Lamborghini with luxurious space for up to five occupants. Its short overhangs communicate its strength, muscularity, dynamically assertive character and commanding road position.

- The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ: The pinnacle of Lamborghini V12 super sports cars

The Aventador SVJ is an innovative car and represents the absolute pinnacle of Lamborghini’s super sports car product range. With exceptionally fast speed, super-athletic performance and aerodynamic superiority, the Aventador SVJ takes another step into the future, shaping the potential for super sports car development.

With its optimized power plant making it the most powerful series production V12-engined car produced to date by Lamborghini, the SVJ features an increase in power to 770 hp (566 kW) at maximum 8,500 rpm. The SVJ outputs 720 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm, while a dry weight of just 1,525 kg gives the SVJ a weight-to-power ratio of 1.98 kg/hp. The SVJ accelerates from standing to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. A top speed of more than 350 km/h is complemented by a braking distance of 100 km/h to 0 in 30 meters.

The Aventador SVJ is, however, more than a super sports car achieving the top numbers. The development philosophy of the Aventador SVJ and its very essence in terms of design, aerodynamic technologies and efficiency, weight-to-power as well as performance, is to create a demanding driver’s perfect car.

The enhanced powertrain features a new titanium intake valve with a new-shape intake runner and length, with a modified intake cylinder head duct for higher flow coefficient. The new, lightweight exhaust system reduces backpressure as well as producing the most emotive sound. The optimized seven-speed Independent Shifting Road (ISR) gearbox has been calibrated for the car’s increased performance in terms of both power and torque.

Every feature of the Aventador SVJ resonates its aerodynamic prowess: the SVJ is significantly enhanced in appearance compared to the Aventador S and its downforce is improved by 40% on both axles compared to the previous Aventador SV.

From the front the car is wider and highlights the inclusion of Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA), Lamborghini’s patented active aerodynamics technologies.

Lamborghini’s patented ALA system was first seen on the Huracán Performante and has been developed to an enhanced level for the Aventador SVJ, now ALA 2.0, including new optimized air inlets and aero channel designs.
The Aventador SVJ is a driver-focused car, developed to maximize the union between driver and car in the most extreme road and track conditions and ensure the most rewarding experience.
