Porsche Korea Opens ‘Porsche Service Centre Seongsu’, the Largest in Korea

Porsche Korea (CEO Mathias Busse) held a media workshop on the 12th to celebrate the grand opening of ‘Porsche Service Centre Seongsu’, the largest Porsche Service Centre in Korea and the first to emphasize the customer journey in Porsche worldwide.

The event was attended by Porsche Korea CEO Matthias Busse, After Sales Director Holger Brandt, and other key executives, sharing the brand’s major business plans for 2025, including new model launches, dealer network expansion, enhanced after sales services, and social contribution initiatives.

 
Porsche Korea CEO Matthias Busse stated, “Porsche is committed to innovating the brand experience through a ‘value over volume’ strategy, actively investing in network expansion and after sales service enhancement.” He added, “The opening of Porsche Service Centre Seongsu is a prime example of this commitment, highlighting the importance of the Korean market and our vision for sustainable growth.”

On this day, Porsche Korea announced various investment plans in Korea to strengthen the brand value and provide a differentiated customer experience in the era of electrification and digitalization."

Porsche is set to expand customer choices with its product portfolio consisted of three types of powertrains, the efficient internal combustion engines, compelling plug-in hybrids, and the innovative all-electric models. These include the brand’s first all-electric SUV, the new all-electric Macan, the new 911, an iconic model that redefines the standards in performance, design, and individualisation, the high-performance 911 GT3 that celebrates the 25th anniversary of the GT3 lineup, and the Taycan GTS, which combines sportiness with high everyday usability.

This year, following the launch of the new sports flagship models, the Taycan Turbo GT, the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package, and the Panamera GTS, Porsche Korea will introduce new models with various powertrain types.

Porsche Korea is also expanding various brand activities to deepen the connection with its Korean fans and enhance ownership experience. With the establishment of its second official community club, the brand will offer exclusive brand experiences through programs like Porsche Travel Experience and Track Experience.

Furthermore, Porsche Korea continues to invest in providing an even more exclusive brand experience by expanding its network nationwide, strengthening after sales services and emphasizing Porsche lifestyle.

Starting with the opening of the Porsche Service Centre Seongsu, the brand will progressively launch and renovate new facilities throughout the year, including the innovative retail concept Porsche Studio Hannam and Porsche Service Centre Jeju, aiming to double its network expansion by 2030.

As part of the ‘Porsche E-Mobility Strategy’, the brand will further expand its charging infrastructure and dedicated battery electric vehicle (BEV) facilities. To provide customers with a compelling and convenient service experience, Porsche Korea is investing in a reliable charging network, specialized EV facilities, and highly skilled professionals, aiming for both greater efficiency and qualitative growth.

In 2021, Porsche Korea expanded its VPC (Vehicle Preparation Centre) facility to swiftly respond to rising demand and enhance vehicle quality. By optimizing the inbound and outbound processes through a dedicated Porsche VPC, the brand improved its processing capacity by 115% and increased staff by 17%, further strengthening vehicle inspections.

Porsche Korea remains committed to its social contribution campaign, ‘Porsche Do Dream’, which embodies the brand’s vision of ‘Dream’ and ‘Passion’. This year, Porsche Korea will donate a total of 1.8 billion KRW to support those in the fields of education, culture, arts, and environment, increasing beneficiaries as well.

The newly opened Porsche Service Centre Seongsu with the New Destination Porsche Design, is located to connect the Gangbuk District (Northern Part of Han River) and eastern regions of Seoul. It is expected to play a key role in Porsche Korea’s strategy to enhance its service nationwide. The centre is officially operated by Seyoung Mobility Co., Ltd., (CEO Jang In-Woo).

As the largest Porsche Service Centre in Asia, Porsche Service Centre Seongsu is also Korea’s most eco-friendly Porsche service facility, featuring highly energy efficient infrastructure. It has obtained Building Energy Efficiency Class 1++ certification and Green Building certification, with a Porsche CI integrated Photovoltaic Façade, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainability.

Spanning a total floor area of 15,968㎡ across 11 floors above ground and 1 basement level, the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge facilities that meets Porsche’s rigorous standards, including 40 work bays—the most in Korea. With the highest daily service capacity in Korea, it operates as a full workshop that can handle over 90 vehicles on average per day, including routine maintenance and accident repairs. The centre also plans to further expand its general maintenance and body and paint facilities on the 6th and 7th floors, as well as increase 25 more work bays in the future.

To deliver optimized services for the era of electrification, the service centre features advanced infrastructure dedicated to BEVs. The latest Quarantine Area has been established to delay the spread of EV fires along with a dedicated EV maintenance infrastructure and highly skilled technicians, ensuring high quality service.

The EV maintenance capabilities have been maximized with a team of 9 high-voltage technicians (HVT) and high-voltage experts (HVE). Additionally, Porsche Global Certified Service (PGCS) Consultants and the most skilled ZPT Gold Technicians provide precise vehicle diagnostics and top-tier EV maintenance services. The centre is equipped with a total of 31 charging stations including 4 high-power chargers (320kW), allowing customers to conveniently charge their vehicles.

Additionally, the centre features a comfortable VIP lounge reminiscent of an airport business lounge, private consulting spaces, and dedicated areas to showcase Porsche Lifestyle and Porsche Tequipment, offering customers unique brand experience and distinctive premium service.

For entertainment, the centre includes a golf lounge with GDR training bays, screen golf, a screen golf zone with putting rooms, a Golf Shop-in-Shop, an event zone, cafeteria, and other leisure amenities to enhance customer satisfaction.

The centre also offers ample parking space for approximately 300 vehicles and features an AI-powered vehicle management system that allows real-time monitoring of vehicle locations during inbound and outbound process, ensuring fast and secure service.

The ‘Porsche Service Centre Seongsu’ operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM. Porsche Korea currently operates 14 Porsche Showrooms, 15 Porsche Service Centres, 5 Porsche Approved Centres, and 4 Porsche Studios.
