The improved accuracy is included in Haltian’s market-proven “HITS” asset tracking and inventory monitoring solution, which includes patented system algorithms, completely wire-free energy harvesting locators, and the world’s smallest IoT asset tag, “Haltian NANO.” Deploying HITS in a large building can be done in hours and requires no special training or equipment. This leads to up to 90% savings in installation costs.
The update, available for all Wirepas licensors, improves reliability in situations where an RTLS tag detects multiple locators, which is usual in large industrial facilities, logistics centers, and other environments with multiple tracking zones and a large number of assets.
Mika Gröhn, VP of Product Business at Haltian, says: “We are now seeing positioning accuracy of 1-3 meters in locations where it previously ranged from 3 to 5 meters on average. Coupled with other HITS benefits like ultra-scalability and quick cable-free rollout, this sets us apart from the competition. With this new update, we are already receiving positive feedback from our customers.”
”Achieving this level of reliability, and scalability in large, high-density environments is a significant achievement for RTLS solutions. Our latest updates to the Wirepas positioning library enable performance without compromising cost-efficiency or ease of deployment,” says Youssef Kamel, SVP of Smart Tracking and Smart Building Business, at Wirepas.
Haltian is renowned for deploying global, high-volume IoT solutions for various industries and use cases. Its solutions leverage Wirepas’ self-healing mesh technology, designed to create ultra-resilient and secure networks without interference with existing infrastructure or systems. Widely used in asset tracking, the technology is ultra-scalable and supports both low-latency and low-power use cases.
