Seoul – GM’s Korean Engineering Center is publicly recruiting up to 110 passionate and energetic engineering interns to work at its Bupyeong headquarters in Incheon. The interns will have the opportunity to be hired as full-time employees through a selection process after about two months of training at the company.

Recruitment targets are graduates or expected graduates by February 2025 from four-year or higher regular universities in the science and engineering fields such as mechanical, electrical, electronic, chemical, materials engineering, automotive engineering, and computer engineering. Positions include SDV (software defined vehicle) engineers; body, exterior, chassis, and interior DREs (design release engineers); and advanced vehicle development engineers with capabilities needed for GM's next-generation technology and product development.

GM Technical Center Korea President Brian McMurray said, "GM is seeking to discover and nurture outstanding talent to lead innovation in the global market and provide excellent experiences to our customers. We will actively support our interns to enable them to demonstrate their capabilities, build their expertise, and grow into excellent global professionals."

The company plans to hire a significant portion of those selected as 2025 winter interns as regular GM employees after completing their internships.

The application period ends at midnight on November 10. Selected interns will participate in a 10-week training program from January to March 2025. Detailed information about internship recruitment can be found on the GM recruitment site (https://search-careers.gm.com/en/locations/korea/).

GM’s Korean Engineering Center is the second largest in terms of scale at GM's global operations after the facility at the company’s United States headquarters. Its operations are capable of complete vehicle development from design to engineering, and production. It also plays a key role in global engineering to achieve GM's triple zero vision of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion, and to lead the development of future mobility technologies.
