HK CTS Hotels and Kew Green Hotels signed a strategic partnership with IHG to manage hotels in mainland China

BEIJING, Dec. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- On 27th November 2017, HK CTS Hotels Co., Ltd. and Kew Green Hotels signed a strategic partnership with IHG to manage hotels in mainland China.

This deal will see Kew Green Hotels manage the existing 466 bedroom Crowne Plaza Beijing Lido from early 2018 and convert the 433 bedroom Metropark Beijing Lido into a Holiday Inn during 2018. The signing of this strategic partnership will enable Kew Green Hotels and HKCTS to work with other owners in mainland China seeking to franchise brands from IHG.

Kew Green Hotels currently operate 10 hotels with over 3,000 bedrooms in Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China, under the direction of Stephen Woodhouse.

Background:

HK CTS Hotels Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Travel Service Group Corporation, with four brands under three series: "Metropark" series, "Kew Green" series and "Traveler Inn" series. Grand Metropark and Metropark under "Metropark" series are five-star and four-star hotel brands respectively. Kew Green is a British-style luxury brand and Traveler Inn is a distinctive business hotel brand. In August 2015, HK CTS Hotels Co., Ltd. successfully acquired all the shares issued by Kew Green Hotels, the UK's second largest third party hospitality management company, becoming the sole shareholder of Kew Green Hotels, and acquiring 44 hotels' ownership and management rights in the United Kingdom and the management right of other 11 hotels, which marked its successful entry into the UK hotel market. Through this acquisition, HK CTS Hotels Co., Ltd. further enriched the brand hierarchy, holding and managing more than 150 hotels and over 32,000 guest rooms at home and abroad, covering over 30 cities in Britain, including London, Leeds, Birmingham, Lincoln, Portsmouth and Brighton and more than 40 cities in Greater China, such as Hong Kong, Macau, Beijing, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Chongqing. It also owns a hotel in Africa and Australia respectively.
