With the opening ceremony at TWTC Nangang(Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center) in the morning of May 31, ‘Computex Taipei 2016,’ an exhibition that enables to expect the future of computer industry, is opened at various parts of Taipei, Taiwan.

From May 31 to June 4, ‘Computex 2016,’ progressed in exhibition halls such as TWTC(Taipei World Trade Center), TWTC Nangang(Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center), and TICC(Taipei International Convention Center) spotlights IoT application, innovation, startup, business solution, gaming, etc. under the theme of ‘Building Partnerships in Internet Computing Ecosystems.’



1,602 exhibitors from 30 countries participated in ‘Computex 2016,’ so the event is opened with 5,009 booths. The number of participating countries is increased 36% from the last year. Moreover, May 28, the number of online-registered international buyers reaches 15,541.

Depending on the concept, the exhibition is divided into three. As major exhibit objects, SmarTEX exhibition deals with security, home entertainment, wearable, automobile, 3D printing, and IoT that is important in smart technology.

InnoVEX is a theme exhibition specialized to startup, so it provides match-making platform between investors and startup companies. Here, exhibition, keynote address, forum, product demo and solution demo are progressed, and many events such as $30,000 project pitching and networking event will be also progressed.

iStyle exhibition displays Apple MFi certified peripheral products and applications together.

The official events consisted of many programs like lectures and forums are held. Firstly, CPX conference, which is a lecture and discussion event for sharing innovative industry trends and recent information among technology industries all over the world, will be held for two days from May 31.

On May 31, Simon Segars who is CEO of ARM, Rahul Patel who is general manager in connectivity department and chief vice-president of Qualcomm Technologies, and Erdal Elver who is CEO of Siemens, progress the keynote address concerning ‘Future Technology.’ Moreover, a forum with a theme of ‘IoT ecosystem partnership’ is opened.

On June 1, Vito Di Bri who is futurologist and innovative designer of Milano Candidate City Expo 2015, Steve Wyatt who is a vice-president of ABB Robotics, and Lucas Wang who is CEO of HWTrek will make a keynote address concerning ‘Disruptive Innovation.’ A forum with a theme of ‘IoT application’ will be held.

‘e21 forum,’ which is held on May 31, had a theme of ‘Vision with Intelligence: Amazing New Era!’ is composed of keynote addresses by Intel and Siemens. In Intel’s address, Diane M. Bryant , chief vice-president and general manager of Intel’s Data Center Group, and Navin Shenoy, chief vice-president and general manager of Client Computing Group, appear as speakers. In Siemens’ address, Nathan pan, sales director in digital factory department of Siemens Industry Software Taiwan, appears as a speaker.

At the same time, in ‘Microsoft forum,’ a lecture about ‘Enabling Modern Windows Devices & Experiences’ is progressed, and in ‘InnoVEX’ stages, the lectures and events with various themes are enjoyed by visitors.

Besides, HWBOT Overclocking World Tour Asia competition is held from May 31 to June 4 as a unit event. It is broadcasted live via Twitch, which is a broadcasting platform for internet games. Through workshops for amateurs and overclocking gathering in bench-party type, as well as a world tour competition for amateur and extreme overclockers, they present pleasure to visitors who are interested in overclocking.
