GM’s Korean Operations Sold 44,426 Vehicles in April, Marking 7.7% Year-on-Year Growth

GM's Korean Operations sold 44,426 vehicles in April. Sales were up 7.7% compared to the same month last year. It marked the 22nd consecutive month of year-over-year growth.

In April, GM’s Korean Operations experienced a surge in overseas sales, totaling 42,129 units and marking an increase of 17.0%. The Chevrolet Trax Crossover, including its derivative models, notably contributed to this performance, with sales of 26,134 units in overseas markets in April, reflecting a remarkable 96.3% increase compared to last year and continued strong global demand. Renowned for its spaciousness, innovative features and sophisticated design, the Trax Crossover is Chevrolet's entry-level model. Alongside the Trailblazer and its derivative models, the Trax Crossover dominated the U.S. small SUV market in the first quarter of this year, securing an impressive market share of 39.5% per J.D. Power PIN data.

In April, GM’s Korean Operations' sales within the Korean market grew to 2,297 units, marking an increase of 12.7% compared to the previous month. In March, Chevrolet introduced the 2025 Trax Crossover, enhancing its lineup with the addition of the dynamic REDLINE trim and incorporating the OnStar global connectivity service.
